Okay, but this is going to get rather esoteric with my selections: I was a performance piano major in college and played in a band for 23 years.

Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue - J.S. Bach
Piano Concerto # 20 in D minor - W.A. Mozart
Pathetique Sonata - Beethoven
Pictures at an Exhibition Suite - Mussorgsky
You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' - The Righteous Brothers
Blues Variation - Emerson, Lake, and Palmer
Karn Evil 9 (1st Impression) - Emerson, Lake, and Palmer
Supper's Ready - Genesis
All in a Mouse's Night - Genesis
Dark Side of the Moon (the whole album) - Pink Floyd
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd (but use the live version from the album PULSE.)
The Reflex - Duran Duran
Union of the Snake - Duran Duran
Wild Boys - Duran Duran
New York State of Mind - Billy Joel
Absolutely anything by Enya...

That should start it off well. I could list about 200 others.

Why is Yanni scary? Is it because he has long hair?

Hey Joe... the Karn Evils are from the Brain Salad Surgery album right? Is it really that good? How does it fare say to... Tarkus? I know its subjective, but I wanna try more ELP and I want a second opinion.
To me, BSS is the ultimate ELP. The keyboard playing has to be heard to be believed. The 2nd Impression is a jazz/rock fusion that is simply amazing, and the organ lead in the 3rd is still the only piece of ELP I've never been able to play.

If you have a DVD player capable of playing DVD-Audio, I suggest getting the DVD-A of that album. It was the first DVD-A ever released, and the sonic clarity is stunning.

The hair I understand. The WWII story I hven't heard. But his music! I think it is very soothing. But that is just my opinion and I happened to recommend that song for the CD that we were going to give Daniela. Hope she likes it though.
