Really!!!! WHY????
IF YOU GOT THE TALENT< WHY SUPRESSED IT????
I've been watching tennis for long time and I really thought Maricris Fernandez would make it seeing her play my fave Mirjana Lucic in 1996 Aus Open in which she really gave Mirjana a good fight in second round i think. something like 3 sets with the third 7:5.

i really thought cris would break through as well as she is the best prospect we have had, winning itf titles and all. but our government DOES NOT provide funds even for rackets much less for travel for our players. how could they expect them to play beeter tennis?!

OMG again!

PHILIPPINES YET WITH ANOTHER UPSET IN MTT!

the philippines is making a tremendous start to its MTT campaign when it defeated the third seeded team of mexico, 2-1. Cris Fernandez oulasted zerene reyes 1-6 6-2 16-14. Fernandez and reyes displayed awesome tennis in the third set, refusing to yield a break until the 29th game, when reyes netted a forehand. fernandez then held to seal the first victory for the asians. Mexico got the second match when Sanchez edged out Bryan Junio 5-7 7-6(0) 8-6. in the deciding doubles, both teams showed class tennis, gaining points through spectacular netplay and strategy. it was another thriller which the philippine team won 6-4 3-6 7-5.

comments from cris, "its an imaginable run we are having. who would have thought in their wildest dreams that on our first outing in MTT, we would be able to upset two extremely tough teams. we are so grateful."

the philippines would now face the winner of scotland vs canada.
