I mean, she's TECHNICALLY on a 7 match winning streak at majors and...I can't believe I'm going to say this, but that video of her at Chartrier today looked really good.

It did, but I need to see how she is moving. Clay, more than any other surface is going to expose her movement (assuming it's not up to par). Those shots are superb though! I love the way the ball sounds coming off her racket.

DEAD @ her going into the French with no matches on clay. This is going to be one wild ride if she makes it to the second week. :SNE::haha::haha:
She gets to the 2nd week, I think the tour will take a collective dump. Everybody can talk about how long she's been out, no seed wants to see her early in this tournament.

Come on, Queen Serenity. Use the power of the Legendary Williams Silver Crystal and show these other girls what it means to be a top player.

Honestly all I care about is her not drawing Sharapova. A rusty loss to her would destroy my mood for a long time.

Pova gets a seeding this year because of her ranking, we hate her but it’s normal.
Last year she didn’t get a wild card.
Only the us open did it ?.

Well the wildcard thing is a non-issue. Serena was using a special ranking, and that thing was relying on goodwill and her corporate sponsors.

She'll be seeded by the Open for sure.

Ree won't be getting a seeding at the FO despite coming back from Maternity leave, yet a "cheater" gets wild cards up the yang yang and gets a seeding though

He's spot on with his comment. It was the field requesting she be seeded. I doubt she cares.

I mean, at worse she'd have to potentially beat 6 seeds instead of 5?

Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't give her a chance, but the WTA tour is by no means normal and even it its heyday, post Justine the FO has been a crapshoot. The only semblance of consistency was Maria 2012-2014 and Serena from 2013-pre Olympia.

It looks better than that boring stuff Svitolina and Halep will wear.

No seeding. Show them Serena.

I really don't like her not being seeded. There are quite a few mines in that Top 32 for a RustyRena.

Muguruza, Svitolina, Ostapenko, Kasatkina, Kontaveit, Bertens, Kvitova.

The absolute nighterror scenario would be an R1/2 L to Sharapova, that might do some irreversible damage to several (myself included).

This is gonna be a long-ass week to the draw ceremony.

If she can get just two or three matches and find some rhythm, I'll feel a whole lot better.

I hate to say it but the best she can hope for is that 9th-seed BYE to get some breathing room until R4.

Lol a loss to Sharapova after just giving birth would not do any damage to Serena. If anything, it would reignite her fire to play until she forces Pova into retirement.
