IMO, i think she shoulda. shes got the game so it has to be mental.

from 99 ive been expecting her to lift a slam, but she needs to toughen up. maybe she should see the person who suddenly made Henin as hard as nails.

shes got a game for all surfaces.....final in Melbourne, semis at the AEC and NYC, hasnt quite ruled RG yet but has had amazing results on clay.

but she ALWAYS seems to come up short when it matters.

do you guys think she'll EVER win a slam? and if so, soon?

Yeah in ´99 she sure looked like a potential GS winner...the game is there, but her injuries and mental state are dooming her.

Right now she´s starting to turn around the corner, except when playing Serena! :lol:

Momo has been very unfortunate. Last year she began to make big changes to her game and by the end of the year it was only the sisters that could beat her. Just when she was getting it right she suffers so many injuries. She needs all the luck in the world.

a few times I have thought momo was gonna DO IT and she wasn't able to pull it out.
I haven't seen her play lately.. but she's gonna have her hands FULL with Kimmie...
but if momo sticks to her game and comes to net and chips and charges etc.. that might through kim off a bit.

we'll see.
right now, I think all the MO (momentum) is clearly with Kim..

im not sure if she needs bulking up like Miss Justine......shes got the body frame down cold already.

like the Williams sisters (yes im bringing them up here ) shes injury prone. its a shame, but it doesnt have to be a bad thing. with the right schedule and good conditioning, she could touch the stars (and i really believe this)

i said she could be trouble for the sisters a while ago...and i dont admit this easily.

i just want her to show us what shes working with and where better than right here

Disagree. Which slam would it have been? Look closely. With the possible exception of Mary Pierce, every slam was won by the then dominant player on the surface.

* Seems odd, but after four years of looking at baseline tennis at Wimbledon, her winning there makes sense. Biggest serve, biggest groundies.

Remember, Venus Jenn and Serena dividing 11 straight GS titles between them. And 13 of the last 16. And Amelie was and is often injured. She really SHOULDN'T have won a GS since OZ 99. She was never the best player at the tournament, and the bets player won most of those. No wierd upsets. (Well, there was RG 2001, the tournament that ruined the seeding system. But Jenn had won OZ that year, was defending RG champ. Amelie wasn't the best player.)

I disagree also. She's to darn sickly. There is something about her spirit that is missing the element of fierceness. She'll always be know to me as the gal that could have....if she only had the heart.
