I know there are a few posters very excited by this week. Definitely a first to see 2 Indians take out 2 titles in the same week, and both outside India as well!

I'd call it another milestone for Womens tennis in India!

First Sonal Phadke did it in Nigeria, winning a weak $10K but she still had to get passed the top seed Khoo and 3rd seed Snyman

Then Isha Lakhani stunned us all with her form turnaround to cause some big upsets in Thailand, defeating top seed Kim Jin-hee of South Korea(241) 6-4 2-6 6-3. She had earlier defeated 2nd seed Napaporn Tongsalle(THA) 2-6,6-3,6-4 and 3rd seed Chua-Jung Chuang (TPE) 6-4 6-2

Congrats to both girls and good luck in Colombo!!

Go Indian women! The great thing about all of this is how young the contingent is from India -- there are at least 4 or 5 women with a chance to break the Top 200 within the next couple years. And from there who knows where their growing confidence will take them!
