That's terrific! Kveta has much left in the tank.

Matkowski made some terrible mistakes at the net. Not that Kveta was flawless, but still she was the stronger wing in the team - and throughout the tournament. :shrug:

Thanks a lot for this information! I didn't really trust that one guy who posted in here she wanted to have babies. I watched every match of hers here at the US Open that had been streamed and she was rock solid and I've never seen her play that well!
Matkowski said in the trophy ceremony that him and Kveta will be back next year and Kveta will try to reach the final for the 4th time and finally take that trophy

Also, I think Matkowski is a great partner for Kveta. Of course, playing his kind of tennis he wil miss a few here and there, and Kveta prefers the same style. Hit or miss basically. Makarova was lucky to save that match point at 9-10 as in 90% of the cases she would've missed that pick-up ball or that swinging volley at least since she was so out of balance.

Very very unfortunate loss for Kveta and Marcin, but this pairing is one of the best mixed doubles pairing I have seen so far. Kveta also said in her blog that she loves the fact that Marcin gives 100% even tho he had lost early in doubles.

This match showed exactly why Marcin is a horrible Mixed player. 4-5 to 6-5 was all Kveta in the first set. That should not happen. And then his crazy errors and DFing to Ekat in the STB

Congrats to Soares and Ekat. I like Soares, he is a great Mixed player. But not so much in this match. In the first set, he was trying to be too flashy with the tweeners and it cost them. But he is so good. Loved his pairing with Jarmila.
