Hoping for a kind draw here so that Emma can try to pull off another R16 run and gain ground again here. Clearly capable of it, and a similar performance would help lift her back towards the Top 60 or even Top 50 with the clay-court season coming.

Edit: I'd forgotten that Emma lost her opener in Miami last year, making a potential R16 run even more useful in gaining ground. Fingers crossed! A draw that landed her in or around, say, Azarenka/Kudermetova's section would be handy for example.

Hopefully Miaimi is speeded up this year.

IW as a travesty in speed, slowest it has ever been, and that night time match no matter how hard emma hit made no difference just stuck in the grit. She will be happier in Miami, hopefully a bit warmer as well.

Hope for a decent draw
Yes a decent draw is the most important thing. If Emma can bring the same form into Miami she should be favourite to win against the majority (possibly even the vast majority) of the non-seeded players. 🙂

Yes hopefully the draw gods will be kind to Emma.

The tournament director has dropped hints that Miami will be faster this year 🤞
