I'm still not sold by Martic at all and my opinion is the same: She'll never make it to the top 10, maybe even top 15. Pretty game, but I feel like she doesn't have enough of a tennis brain to fully use all her skills. Plus her poor fitness will always hinder her whenever she has the chance to go deep in tourneys.

Honestly after that 1st set, I was surprised Petra was able to make such a match of it. This is a very tough place to play Yvonne and now into her 6th Bad Gastein she still hasn't lost before the quarters. Petra came very close but no cigar. Credit to Meusberger who once again showed what a difference it makes playing somewhere you feel totally comfortable.

I'd still say this was a pretty admirable effort by Petra. After being blown away in the 1st set against the home favourite it would have been very easy to throw in the towel but Petra fought back well. Still in the end the match clearly went the way of the player who obviously wanted it more.

Frankly, I don't think this is a big loss for Petra and I'm still optimistic that she will give a fine account of herself at Wimbledon.
