Marina versus wildcard Marie-Heut Pien in the first round of qualies at the Bell Challenge. Shes got a fairly nice quali draw really, her toughest opponent should be in the final quali round where she will likely meet Andrea Klepac - a very winable match especially when Marinas in great form winning 10 matches in a row.

Re: Harleys 'I call New Zealand Home' Thread for Kiwi players

As well all know AUSBOY has a habit of posting his stuff in more than one place, so heres an article thanks to him :)

NZ Women
The next fortnight promises to be action packed for New Zealand women overseas.

Top New Zealand player Marina Erakovic is heading to Canada, where she aims to qualify for the Tier III Bells Challenge WTA tournament in Quebec City on 29 October.

Sacha Jones will compete in the qualifying event next week's US$50,000 ITF in Taoyuan, China.

In Augusta, USA , Leanne Baker retired during her first round match against Ana Jovanovic from Serbia and withdrew from the doubles event in which her and partner Jorgelina Cravero from Argentina were seeded first for the US$25,000 tournament.

Baker is entered in the US$75,000 event Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania starting on 5 November.

Ellen Barry , Shona Lee and Abby Hedges are entered in the US$25,000 ITF event in Port Pirie, Australia, starting on 5 November.

Is this just a mistake? Or is it true?

Re: Harleys 'I call New Zealand Home' Thread for Kiwi players

Why did Sacha skip the Aussie 25k's??
No idea why but she chose to go to Asia over Australia. Maybe it was because Marina was there :p (I love my rumours lol)

Marina got thrashed today 6-1 6-2 :tape:

I think thats her last tournament of the year, then she'll play the ASB Classic starting December 29.

Great tournament for Sacha so far, it is good to see Australia's and New Zealand's top junior Jess and Sacha doing so great respectively. Hopefully they can both go a long way! Rika should be tough though!
