I don't know if she has been injured or not. If she hasn't then she has to make up her mind if she is a tennis player and play and if she doesn't want to play she should make that decision also. She hasn't played 1 hardcourt match in the build up to the Open and hasn't played any matches since Wimbledon qualifying in mid-June. I don't know how she expects to compete.
so Ally Baker is really disappointing. Mirjana can't continue with this " I'll play when I feel like it mentality" and then be all disappointed when she loses. Yes, I should expect the losses by now but every time her name appears in a draw a very vague little piece of ( deluded ? ) optimism appears. She has the occasional win like her 6-0 6-4 over Irvin and her 6-1 6-1 over Ostrovskaya both this year which show what she can do. She is sooo frustrating.
Well, won't she be ranked so low now that she won't even make qualies at the grand slams? Looks like the decision not to compete will be made for her. Of course, she could still get the occasional wild card, but what tournament director in his/her right mind would give her one at this point?
maybe she's gained some weight since the start of the year?.... Ally can play very good tennis when she is on. i always thought this would either be a pushover or a real struggle. mirjana isn't match tough either which makes things hard for her but i guess that was her decision (unless she was injured).
