Could this be Vinci's last tournament on tour??

Nice list, lots of indoor enthusiasts.

Genie has never played well indoors. Why skip Asia to play indoors? Silly girl.

First Luxembourg tournament Minella set to miss since 2006

Guessing with Molinaro only getting a QWC there won't be a local girl in the MD then.

That's life.

Mandy Minella and Gilles Muller (and Anne Kremer before them) are rare exceptions for Luxembourg tennis.

Molinaro is now the only hope for having a Top 200 player from Luxembourg when Minella and Muller have retired. Maybe next year she'll already have progressed to a level where it is justified to give her a MD WC.

According to the wiki page she has already withdrawn...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_BGL_Luxembourg_Open

But we all know it's not always a reliable source...
Damn straight. It says she is replaced by Brengle, which implies Brengle would be getting Vika's WC instead, which makes no sense, especially this early. It also has the prospective seedings, although that too makes no sense until the official rankings have been released at the start of the previous week, and all WCs are known. Best to wait until the main draw is released.

Anyway, Luxembourg itself says that Keys has just accepted a WC:

https://www.facebook.com/BGLBNPParibasLuxembourgOpen/

We don't know fore sure whose WC Keys is getting, as Azarenka, Bouchard and Lisicki are all still listed in the main banner. I've read elsewhere that Bouchard would have to forfeit any points gained here as a WC because she has already accepted 3 WCs this season, and that she is next alternate anyway (so she probably wouldn't need a WC), assuming she even plays at all.

So "wait and see ..."

Did Vika withdraw? @spiceboy

Vika never entered. If she was going to play this she was gonna get a WC. So no way to know if she is going to play unless she says so.
