Those players with Pref 2 in the initial Luxembourg List (deadline 3 Sep) were likely (or must?) had their first preference for Moscow (Pref 1) of the same week.

No matter the preference were, players were removed from the Luxembourg Main Draw Alternate List once accepted into Moscow Qualifying (deadline 24 Sep).

All other players in the Luxembourg Main Draw Alternate List remain intact even though some of them did not enter Luxembourg Qualifying.

I could see them get Svitolina and Stephens, if Sloane’s request for Moscow WC isn’t granted. They’re quite lucky the race this year involves more than 2 players.
