Lost in the doubles final but, when you consider that she and Sato have a combined ranking of over 2000, to get that close to a pair (Hozumi and Savinykh) each ranked inside the top 200 is pretty awesome. Final score 7-6 (6), 6-3.

Tough final for me, two of my favourite players in the world facing off...

3-6, 6-1, 6-6

Absolute nailbiter, too.

Lulu was up 3-0 in the tie-breaker... let us see what happens next...

Time for some rest now. I am glad she only plays singles this week, actually!

Best career win for Lulu!!!
I watched it. She got better as the match progressed, and Cabrera made more and more errors. She could possibly have won in straight sets if it wasn't for a couple of UEs in the last game of the first set.

Does Lulu have a wild card for Lausanne next week? A QWC, at least, would be deserved on what she's done over the last couple of months.

Also, I finished creating an English Wikipedia page for her (she already has one in German) and loaded that last night.

Any additional information or sources would be appreciated!

Lulu won the first set by 6-1.
Now she just turned around a 3-5 to 5-5  (y)
If she wins this, she would face Kulikova in the SF

Even though she won the first set easily, I thought she actually played better against Cabrera, but a win is a win. Kulikova's ranking is only a few different from Yvonne's, so hopefully that is a good omen for today.

Do you know if she has a wild card for Lausanne? There's nothing about any wild cards on the tournament website or their Facebook page. She has no live entries for ITF next week, which is why I suspect she's in Lausanne, but is playing in the W25 at Les Contamines-Montjoie the week after (second alternate, so will get into qualifying).
