7W/39UE for Wysoczanska... That was brutal 😅 But she was trying to throw everything she could to disturb Paula to the point she was probably overplaying in the end.

I scored that match as well, but I thought you would too! I had Paula with 29 first serves in, but otherwise I agree. However, Katarzyna definitely hit three double faults (one in the first game, one in her last, and the point straight after her ace). :) I agree EXACTLY with your winners, but you need to include the ace as a forehand winner as well.

I thought that I was tough on unforced errors, but I'm way more generous than you! My counts were:

1st set UEKania 6 (3 FH, 3 BH)Wysoczańska 13 (8 FH, 5 BH)
2nd set UEKania 10 (8 FH, 2 BH)Wysoczańska 21 (17 FH, 4 BH)
TotalKania 16 (11 FH, 5 BH)Wysoczańska 34 (25 FH, 9 BH)
1st set FEKania 2 (1 FH, 1 BH)Wysoczańska 5 (0 FH, 5 BH)
2nd set FEKania 4 (2 FH, 2 BH)Wysoczańska 6 (4 FH, 3 BH)
TotalKania 6 (3 FH, 3 BH)Wysoczańska 11 (4 FH, 7 BH)

Kania was never in doubt from the first game, but I'll allow Wysoczańska one small consolation - she hit the shot of the match, a fantastic forehand return down the line on her way to breaking Kania's serve for the second time.

I watched what I could, but one of the New Zealand women was playing at the same time in the USA (not broadcast, but with live scoring) and it was also qualifying for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, so my eyes were pretty busy jumping from one screen to another!

I thought this result was deserved, as Piter and Zawadzka's errors always seemed to come on crucial points.

Next stop: Bydgoszcz! This one will start on August 15. Its entry list will be out next Sunday.
Entries are hidden on the PZT page and are now available (but players can still apply until 09/08/2020). ;)

Entries (from TOP50 of PZT ranking): Piter, Shoshyna, Rogozińska-Dzik, Kubka, Falkowska, Kania-Choduń, Zawadzka, Hędrzak, Jeleń, Foryś, Wierzbowska, Podlińska, Kołowrotkiewicz, Edyk, Jaśkiewicz, Nebelska, Jankowska, Gruszczyńska, Wysoczańska, Jastrzębska, Samberger.

Other "interesting" entries: V. Olyanovskaya, Ewald (World No.5 in U14 TE ranking), Szczepańska, Wira, Sosnowska, Kubacha, Rutkowska, Wygonowska

Baszak probably won't play (this week: Polish U23 Championships and next probably ITFW15 Oeiras (y))

Olianovskaya may play only with wc as she has no PZT ranking. And it will be imho hard for her to get one from PZT as she is not planning to represent Poland in international circuit I guess (she got one in Łódź as she has her base there).

Entry list for Bydgoszcz is out!
Magda Frech has signed up, that was expected given the lack of alternatives on the international circuits currently. That's a nice addition!
Piter, Kania, Shoshyna, Kubka, Rogozinska-Dzik, Falkowska, Zawadzka, Oczachowska, Wysoczanska will be all there.

Chwalinska, Hertel and Baszak are missing, but the latter could enter via WC I guess if she wants to.

Tournament starts next Saturday!

No more Frech in Bydgoszcz, she is playing in Prague main draw this week where she has qualified for the second round today.

The entry list for the last stop in Poznan is out too, it's nearly the same as Bydgoszcz. No difference for the seeds, and still no Frech, Chwalinska, Hertel or Baszak.

Wow! An exciting draw! 🎉
3 potentially interesting QFs (rematch): Piter v. Kania-Choduń, Kubka v. Zawadzka, Falkowska v. Shoshyna
3 interesting matches in R1: Falkowska v. Gruszczyńska, Hędrzak v. Kania-Choduń, Ewald v. Bozova
I don't know who will advance to the SF in the top half, but in the bottom probably (80%): Olyanovskaya v. Shoshyna 😂
