Would love to see Lisa Raymond, Cara Black -and the like back on tour with their beautiful net play and skills, I think we lack players like them in doubles these days (we do have some oldies like Stosur, Spears though)

"Reached in Paraguay, Raymond told Tennis.Life she and Kiick plan to play some doubles in 2020. Part of it is that the coach wants Kiick to play more doubles, period; the other part, she said, is that it will be fun, and she has a few more things she wants to accomplish on the doubles court."

And it doesn't sound like it's a one-off either.

It's been four years since Lisa played her last match and her final two seasons on tour weren't that great but I always enjoyed watching her serve-volley tennis. :worship:

She could run into fellow ex-doubles No.1 Sara Errani in the QF. :eek:h:

Gatica/Pereira (CHI/BRA) v (wc)Kiick/Raymond (USA/USA)
(4)Alves/Ce (BRA/BRA) v Cocciaretto/Errani (ITA/ITA)

So she was Kii's coach first — then asked Kii to become her dubs partner too?
As a coach she wants to develop Kiick's doubles skills and with who better than a person who trusts her 100% and is a former doubles world #1?

Lisa after winning her 1R match with former Argentinean players Mercedes Paz and Florencia Labat who are there helping out Argentinean players.

No hard feelings eventhough Paz defeated defending champion Raymond in the 1997 USO mixed doubles semifinals :eek:h:

Lisa/Allie lost 11-9 in the match tiebreak. :( A decent comeback from Lisa nonetheless on what is by far her least favourite surface!
