Capriati has done a lot of truly impressive things... but the answer to this question has to be Davenport. There's no really strong case for Capriati, unless you place a lot of value on being a child prodigy.

Davenport. Too many ups and very long downs in the career of Jennifer.

She hasn't been around that long her 4th round victory at the oz open was career win 699 but that's a lot wins no matter how u look at it.

I am a big fan of both them and both have had great careers for different reason. Considering what Jennifer's been though throughout her career, she has acheved a heck of alot. On the other Had Lindsay has done alot of thing in her career that alot people never thought she would do like spend 98 weeks as world number and a large numberr of those weeks in the last two years. You have to say Lindsay but lets face it five years from both their retirements whenever that may be they will be in the hall of fame at Newport but is one of the more interesting questions posted on site recently.

Who will be best known in a few years after they retire? I don't know, but I'd say Jen. There are several players who have achieved what Lindsay has, but none who can be compared to Jennifer.

Jen will be better remembered than lindsay after they both retire, although lindsay has achieved a lot more in her career than jen, jennifer will always be remembered more because of her story.

Even the biggest of Capriati fans have to agree that Lindsay has had the better career, but Jen will be a Hall of Famer easily with three Slams, No.1 ranking and an Olympic Gold.

Davenport has had the better career on every level. More singles slams, more doubles slams, more slam finals, more titles, more weeks at #1, and a dominating H2H record over Capriati. There's not much of an argument.
