Linda is playing again this week, Grade 1 RPM Junior Open 2019 . In doubles she partners yet another 14yrs old Linda, Klimovičová. In singles she is seeded and thus got a frist round bye, in second round he is facing Eszter Meri (SVK, 16, 618), a qualifier - her kryptonite Klára Nováková did not make it from qualies btw. Let's not jinx anything by looking further, let's just say from that strong 2004/2005 team, Černá (wild card) is in the very same 1/8 and both Fruhvirtová and Palicová are in the neighborouing quarter.

Lost to Avdeeva 67 57. So 30 points from singles and 45/4 points from doubles from this week replacing current worst 15+0 points, so effectively improving her ranking points total by 26.25 points. Not good start to 2019, she is still 1-2 in singles with both losses being upsets on paper, so hopefully this is something temporary and she is gonna turn it around soon.

Linda is through to the SFs of J2 Bytom in Poland this week. :bounce: She's the 5th seed there, beat Divine Nweke 3 & 2 in R1, Carol Plakk 3 & 1 in R2 and (3)Jana Kolodynska (a year older, #129/CHR 110) 4-6 6-3 6-1 in QF :yeah:

Tomorrow SF vs. local (2)Martyna Kubka (18 yo, #115/CHR 101) :armed: :cheer:

Linda's other notable results this year were a couple of QF appearances: at J2 Benicarlo in March, and at J1 Santa Croce a month ago. :) She's currently ranked #152, with a CHR of 112.

Linda made SFs of J2 Plzen afterwards: she was the 6th seed there, upset (2)Ana Geller (17 yo, #61) 7-6(1) 4-6 7-5 in QF, before losing 6-1 2-6 4-6 to eventual champion (3)Maria Timofeeva (a year older, #66, WTA CHR 967) in SF.

Then she got a QWC at 25K Torino, and lost 3 & 2 to (7)Federica di Sarra (29 yo, WTA 474/CHR 305) in Q1.

Then, last week, she won another J2 in Hungary: she was the 5th seed, beat (1)Pia Lovric (17 yo, #61) 3 & 3 in QF, (4)Julie Belgraver (17 yo, #85) 2 & 2 in SF and 16 yo Antonia Ruzic 3 & 3 in the final. :hi5:
She also won the title with Belarusian Evialina Laskevich, who is the same age. :D
