Tennis Canada is pretty strict on their conditions to help financially. Only if they have full control and power over the player will they completely support you financially. They don't want parents to be involved in any of the coaching. I'm guessing this is probably the reason here, the father is very much involved with Leylah's tennis.
She will stay one more in Australia to play $60K ITF .

QUALLIES R1
Moyuka UCHIJIMA [5] - Leylah Annie FERNANDEZ

Correct me if I'm wrong but Denis Shapovalov's mother is very involved in his career and they pay all his bills ...
Remember Greg Rusedski?
I'm not aware of all the reasons he left for the UK but it's certainly not because Tennis Canada was too generous with him.
I hope Leylah has no other alternatives than representing Canada
Leylah wins QR1 6-2 6-2, QR2 in few hours

Yes correct, but Denis is now a Top 30 player and the rest of the team is made up of Tennis Canada coaches.
When Denis was 16, same age as Leylah, I believe he had a sponsorship for his travel expenses. Denis wasn't part of Tennis Canada as a teenager, wasn't supported financially by them.

Why doesn't she have IG?
Leylah's younger sister Bianca Jolie FERNANDEZ has qualified for a G1 MD in Ecuador
That's a very weak G1 though. Collard and Bennetto are there as well in MD
Bianca must be motivated with her big sister's success.

She probably has a "secret" account . (Read post 16, she talked about her phone)
There is something very unusual and truly impressive about Leylah.
She is probably an indestructible cyborg machine :spit:

She is never injured, never even had to get a limb taped since she started playing ITF Juniors or Pros. Try to find a picture of her with a taped leg. I haven't found any on Google Images

Then I thought, there are certainly a couple of singles matches in pros or juniors that she couldn't finish since 2015, having to retire or offering a walk over. I have found none on her ITF activity tab.

A big contrast with Bianca Andreescu who has been injury prone for the last 3 years. Not so with Leylah, she seems to be indestructible
Leylah won easily R1 at 60k Launceston
6-2 6-3
Tougher R2 next vs Arina Rodionova, tricky player for a junior girl
Good Luck
She lost 3-6 6-1 5-7 but she served for the match at 5-3
