Just for fun, lets all come up with something, that had it happened
then this would happen and all would be different

ex.

If Venus hadn't had cramps, she would've won the 1999 Us Open!

Then we all argue pointlessly

*No mention of a certain 1993 incident, all for fun*

I'll start

If Venus hadn't lost her beads, she would've won the OZ Open, and the grand slam that year!

If that rerun of Gilligan's Island hadn't been one they'd both seen three times before, Heidi and Peter wouldn't have gone to the bedroom that night. Then Steffi would have been born a couple of months later, she would have been a male, she never would have been interested in tennis, and would right now be the father of two little girls and the owner of a used book store in Berlin.

If Melanie Molitor did not like Martina Navratilova, Martina would have been called Ludmilla.

If Kim Clijster did not date Lleyton Hewitt she would not be able to do splits on court.

if martina hingis was not so cocky in 1997, she would have been well-liked.

if jennifer had non had sunspots in her eyes, she would be world number 5 right now.

if lucic had not beaten seles in wimbledon, who would give a fuck?

if steffi graf had not retired when she did, she would be shit outa luck these days.

if lindsay and mauresmo would have had the same injuries in an earlier era, they would be tennis commentators by now..

All my Monica ones:

If Monica hadn't had an older brother who was into tennis,

and

hadn't had a giving father who was an Olympic athlete and had a degree in physical something-or-other (something to do with how the body works, can't remember what it's called), she would never have been a tennis player.

If Monica's childhood neighbors had complained about her hitting the ball against their wall every morning, Monica might not have been a champion.

If Monica hadn't had shin splints in 1991, she might have a grand slam. (Twice over; part of the grunting crap from others in 1992 was a "payback" for her missing Wimbledon in 1991. See next paragraph.)

If Monica hadn't given in to public pressure and suppressed her grunt at the 1992 Wimbledon Final, she might have a grand slam.

If Monica had never, as a child, seen Carrie Cunningham play tennis, she would never have grunted. (This was the reason Monica grunted: Carrie did it, so she thought that was how she was supposed to do it.) Without the grunt, not only would Monica not have had the 1992 Wimbledon controversy, she might never have been powerful enough to attain Number One in the first place.

If Gaby hadn't partied the night before a big match (I forget which one), she might have attained the Number One ranking for a while.

If that stupid bird at the 2002 Australian Open had flown a few inches higher, it might still be alive.
