Serena played one of the worst matches of her life but that wasn't Halep's fault so she deserves some respect.

It was ONLY Halep's "fault". She simply forced Serena to be in chaos, hit winners also, Halep was everywhere and exposed the movement of Williams. Williams has always been overweight but it takes a really great player to defeat her in Slam finals. And this 6-2 6-2 is magic. :worship: Why do you think the world's reaction was so great?

Simona <img src="https://www.tennisforum.com/images/smilies/notworthy.gif" border="0" alt="" title="NotWorthy" class="inlineimg" />

2018 French Open champion

2019 Wimbledon champion

She also reached the SF of every Grand Slam.

Aus Open and US Open titles are next.
I was actually thinking Simona would win either AO or USO first before Wimbledon. She’s probably the 2slam winner amongst active players who has best chance of completing the career GS in the next 3-4 years.

I think most thought she wins the USO or AO before she wins Wimbledon. But it really shows how she is an all-court player. And now with Wimbledon out of the way, winning the USO and AO to complete the career GS is a realistic goal, as HC is her second best surface.

Halep's doesn't have the game to force Serena into countless UEs. When Serena plays near her best, Halep has NO chance to win.
