Apart from Volkov, I do not remember any Russian lefthanders, which is quite natural, of course, because being a lefthander was nto allowed in the Soviet Union. Still, now, I guess, lefthanders are rare. I guess, Fokina is lefty, and Koulikovskaya is a lefty too.

BTW, what is Koulikovskaya doing right now? Haven't seen her name in any Challengers or satellite. I hope that US Open was not just an episode, but maybe an indication of the better things to come. In the era of brainless power tennis, WTA would really need some players of this kind of finesse..

Evgenia has probably gone back to the US.

Last week's Columbus 50K was cancelled and I hope she's in Alberquerque $75K .

I can't name any apart from those 2 at present but I'm sure there are some coming through that are lefties ... there must be 1 at least <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
