Hey, yesterday I took a plane in Argentina to come home to New York and I was seated next to Laura Montalvo!! I chatted with her and I asked her if she was playing the Us Open but she told me she wasn't because of many injuries. And she got me tickets for the first week!!! When I came home I looked on the Wta Tour website and she wasn't on the rankings. SoI was wondering if any of you guys know where she's ranked or if she has, what's her protective ranking because of injury?

Montalvo was the former partner of top20 doubles player Liezel Huber. I think she got injured in fall 2002 and since then Huber teamed with Navratilova once or twice and later with Maleeva.

It makes me think though why she travels to NY when not playing ?
