Looks like Yung-Jan Chan has been using the name "Latisha" for some time. She even has a web site of the same name:

http://www.latisha.com.tw/

Edited to add: this is the web page with link to photos:
http://www.latisha.com.tw/about.htm

It's unfortunately in Chinese (I see only weird symbols), but a click on the tiny photo at upper right of the second web page will lead you to a huge photo album with many cool pictures, like

Latisha "the young gun" with Alexandra Wozniak

Latisha with Caroline Wozniacki

Latisha at US Open in front of (giant pix of) the real sisters

With Hingis

With Graf

She is apparently a tennis fan like us, taking a lot of photos of other players. See if you can find the practice photo of Serena and Richard Williams.

This kid is growing on me. And she is only 17!

Nicole Vaidisova has officially been replaced as my third-favorite player. GO LATISHA!*

*After you lose to Venus tomorrow, of course.

Latisha Chan can afford to keep a website up and running, but the Williams sisters can't.....

It's just...I've never heard of the name.
I probably have to say it many times to get used to it. I mean, I didn't know about the name Serena until I got into tennis, so it just needs time to get used to

Where I come from, it's totally uncommon :p
(Malaysia)
We get so many common english names, Matthew, Brian, Patrick
and we get some malay names like Abdullah, Mohammed, and so on :p
So sorry for the name barrier :p

I know right.... I think I have a new 4th favorite... Venus, Serena, Eleni & now Latisha. :bounce:
Daniilidou is your #3, eh? Good choice. I met her at Stanford in '03, and I've been rooting for her to do well ever since.
