These two players have never played before! But both of them are on a losing streak

Henrieta is on a 8 match losing streak
Anna is on a 1 match losing streak ;)

Who will win?

If Anna plays like she did in Sydney, Henrieta will probably get out of her slump. But if Anna plays a solid game and picks on Nagyova's forehand, she should win!

If we would have made that poll in 2000 or even 2001, the vote for Anna would have been a lot easier!!! But her recent form(in real match) is unbelievably disastrous!

Prediction: Anna Kournikova def. Henrieta Nagyova 6-4, 3-6, 7-5

Nagyova hits hard and flat...Anna likes playing against players who give her pace...

Nagyova makes alot of errors generally...Anna shouldn't have too many more

Nagyova is on a serious losing streak...

Anna PLEASE WIN...That's all I'm going to say, Anna. Just f***ing WIN!

She couldnt have asked for a more winnable match...

It all depends on which Anna shows up.

I'm still a bit nervous. True, Henrieta's been in awful form but a while back she was excellent, romping through Tier III draws like she was in the top 10, although she's never done well in a big event really.

And yes she's in awful form, but before that match with Widjaja, Angelique had lost her last two matches winning only like 5 games, and then she demolishes Anna.

*Sigh*

I don't know about this. Anna always seems to play so poorly in the Slams, it's like she gets really nervous in the big events. If it were any other tournament, I would pick Kournikova easily based on form, but here...if it's a straight set win, I'll go with Anna, but if it goes to 3, I think Nagyova will pull it out.

Why don't you like her?

She's only reached the quarters or better in a Grand Slam twice. For a player of her caliber, that's not exactly a great record. Granted, there's tough competition, but Wimbledon was so far ago that I can hardly remember it, and AusOpen 2001 she had such an easy draw that it would have been a crime if she didn't make it to QF. OK, i'll be fair...she's had some decent results in the Slams earlier in her career, lots of close 3rd/4th round matches shes come up just short in, but since she came back from her injury in 2001, she's had disastrous results in the Slams and Tier I's. As much as I like Anna, I simply can't defend her play in the big matches.

I say Henrietta. Anna's got that whole image, and baggage to
deal with- I think she just might fold like a futon against Henrietta
the back court counter puncher.
