lol @ Kisha, yeah I agree I also think she needs to get a bit of an image rethink, her image doesn't ehlp her, the tight shorts etc. (although very nice I think she alienates some of her former fans!!)
Mariah - cause she is sweeter and i can relate to her more.
i love alanis, i really love her voice and style. SHe is so pretty and very nice!
Michelle has not really hit these shores, so i dont really no much about her.
Monica, has a special place in my heart. She is such a great girl! When her best friend died, she took in his child and raised her as her own, thats why she is busy at the mo. Its different now.
I like Ray j, Ja Rule,Usher and Nas.
Beige - yeah, i like old school, i think they are an important part of what we have now. oh, Rightous is right (for a change!), Beverley Knight is i think the biggest at the moment. R 'n' b signers in britain are really non exsistant as they are always over looked by american girls.
We have great talent here though, they include:
Kelle Bryan - no longer recording
Kele Le Roc - no record deal
Jameila - took time out to have a baby
Ms Dynamite - very hot new prospect.
Peppercorn - but im not sure if she is british!
thats it really. To be frank, people in britain dont by music because of the song, but because of the person who sings them. Fair enough, i think most are guilty of that, but it really annoys me. Kele le Roc had a quality album and did anyone buy it? No. Probably cause some boy band released an album the same week.
Thanks Kisha!!!lol Yeah I really liked Kelle Le Roc and Shola Ama is in her situation as well, but talented but their albums haven't sold at all, which is a shame cos they are really talented girls.
I loved Jamielia, they girl writes, sings and produces, Money and Call Me were funky tunes. My fave R'n'B/Soul British singer over the last number of years, apart from beverly, is Hinda Hicks that girl has sassiness, fink and soul. I also really like Usher and Ja Rule, what do u think of David Lyden Hall, I'm not a fan too mellow for me there's no spark, i can't think at the moment of any other good Male British Soul Singers, apart form Craig David.
