I don't know if this has been posted be4. It's Kim's latest diary entry.
It's only in Dutch so far.
Anyway she says she's taking some weeks off from tennis. She's also a bit tired of the media circus surrounding her. She will go to australia for a while and isn't sure if she'll play Leipzig
She wonders why everybody worries about her, while she number one in singles and in doubles (is she??).

Kim is taking a good decision imo. she'll be fresh for the year-end.
If anyone feels to translate it... That would be great! ;)

Groetjes!
Kim

Poor Kimmie! The stress got to her!

She asks why the press worries about her?! well Kim, maybe it´s because you´re no.1 and have yet to prove that you´re able to win GS´s! That´s the problem!

Go Kim, have a great holliday! :yeah:

Spoil and be spoilt!

I hope she has great time in Australia, she really deserves it. It's normal all the attention got to her, it's new to her.
And maybe Australian DC team could still use someone to mix their Gatorade and to ballgirl!;):p

Do I read this right?

Will she not play fed cup? And that last sentence is also really strange.

You mean the "ook"?
The whole is entry is a bit more bitter than I am used from kimmie, don't you think? I understand that she is a bit dissappointed in the extreme reactions of the press about her attitude and all...

I too get the feeling she's a bit tennis-tired atm, but that's not a bad case, she'll be back, hungry.

Re Fed Cup: Kim already said she had numourous meetings with ITF, as the player's representative (?), also concerning fedcup. But there's nothing said about what exactly they talked. Maybe promises aren't promises, and not only Fedcup, nor Kim....

no she will not play and the last sentence means that she doesn't want to play because the sportive part is not the first priority there either

I hope she has fun..she's prolly sick of it all because of some morons who think she has to be mean and make tennis her only ambition in life
I think she is conceding the #1 ranking to Justine which is commendable. I think Venus did this for Serena in 2002 because Venus would have become #1 if she had won the US Open, but she had tournaments after the Open that she probably would have won and become #1 without a slam. She pulled out due to exhaustion, but I think a little of it was disappointment and not wanting to battle Serena for #1 without having a slam title to her credit.

Yeah she has got to be pretty disapointed. Breezing through the draw and then pulling lame in the finals again.

KIm

I think its the shit, she didnt create the ranking, and if she wants to get paid, then she can play as much as she wants.
