I know, It won't make me popular amongst the Kim Clijsters fans but I begin to have doubts about Kim's recent injuries... She had pain at her back and a hip injury just before the AO but went through to the 1/2 finals nearly without problems except she had to give up at her 1/2 finals match versus Mauresmo. There began my doubts... She twisted badly her ankle there : At this time we said she must have been at least 4 weeks OUT of tennis. But 10 days later, began she to play tennis again and play now the Antwerp tournament. Is she a faker or simply exaggerate the seriousness of her injuries ? It's impossible to recover so quick from quite bad injuries... I doubt more and more about Kim's honesty about her recent injuries...

OMG,and THIS comes from a WS fan??  ??sensationally!! ;) YOU think, you can judge the belgians, especially kim,on their injuries??,before judging others on that, you should look at your girls!kim and justine always try their UTMOST to play, not least for their fans, and they even take the risks of more injury, only to show them, how important they are for them!!and the WS?...do i really have to say much more about their lifestyle?..no.and kim and justine could say as well(moneywise),"oh no,i d rather stay at home",but they dont, because their fans count for them!!  sorry, for being so impulsive, but i cant stand such unfair lines no more!!

she is both I guess, but more of a faker...

when you are injured like she claimed she was (is), you definitely don't run like that, you don't strike the ball that hard, you don't take such risks while moving around, you don't have such physical stamina...

but I guess the will to play make all this possible...

I tend to go with the faker thing..not a faker perse perse, but more like dramatiscism...I mean, come on...if she really was as badly injured as they thought at the Oz open. Why the rush to play now? I don't know...

At least with the sisters, when they say they are injured, they don't play...Kim makes it sound like she's almost dying and there she is doing splits, running down balls like nobodies business..

For her to come back so soon, I guess she must really love this tournament (especially considering the fact that she's retiring in 2007)

ok,you can approach the matter from different sides, but IMO,a player gets even more respect, when going out and trying to DO it for the fans, even taking more injuries into account(if this is wise,is another matter..).because he knows,HOW important it is for them.

I don't care one way or the other. These days we must jump for joy whenever a player (ANY player) is actually able to drag her ass out of hospital to play a few matches before she is out with yet another injury for a couple of months or so.

My understanding this time around is that the docs in Australia actually misdiagnosed the injury to be more serious than it actually was. That's not really her fault.

Also, she didn't want to promise the fans to play if she couldn't commit fully to Antwerp. I like this approach much better than saying you will play and then surprising ticketholders at the last minute with a withdrawl.

Seeing her after her win at USO and this latest stunt with champagne gifts, I think we can safely conclude she is a drama queen that seeks attention any which way, for better or worse
Well, if you don't want attention you should choose to become a secretary or a schoolteacher, not a tennis player.

She's a faker or an exaggerating player... Nobody in the REAL world (not Kim fans world) would have believed that she was injured during the Australian Open. OK, she finally (thankfully) retired against Mauresmo, but how the fuck an injured top player gets to the SEMIFINALS of a Grand Slam? Obviously she tends to lie about her injuries. Why? I don't know. She plays smarter than thinks. If you have Hewitt as a boyfriend that tells you a looooot about your own freedom of think! :haha:

Clijstoris (sp?) :haha: fans must realize that there's something wrong about saying "I will withdraw my next match because I deserve it" and not doing so. She's looking too desperate to win really important tournaments right now. I hope she didn't won that fucking US Open. She deserves worse results because of her bad karma!
