In the doubles of Acura Classic, Sugiyama Ai & Kim Clijsters was defeated Cara Black & "Lena L" (Elena Likhovtseva) 6-3 & 6-3 in the doubles semifinals.
Finally, they defated Lindsay Davenport and Lisa Raymond 6-4, 7-5 in finals to take out the double champion title.
