google translate

Now Angelique Kerber (31) threatens the process!

Judge Kamil Antkowiak finished only one final qualifier in Poznan / Poland after only 4:05 minutes.
That's it: Artur Pawlowski (61), who coached the Kielerin from 2006 to 2008, demanded a 15 million euro fee because the former No. 1 in the world allegedly never paid him.

The Kerber site did not appear in court yesterday. Her ex-trainer sent only attorney Anna Makowska.
She to BILD: "An agreement with the other side was not possible. Now Mr. Pawlowski has to decide if he wants to go on the other court. "

Doesn't Saraya! speak German?

Either way it seems like another Osaka case. 15 million is irrational.

Did they have a contract stating how much she'd pay him retroactively? If not, then a junior coach's wage + added interest is what he should get.

Anyways, this sounds like another case of a junior's coach wanting a big slice of the pie. "An agreement with the other side was not possible". I have no doubt that he's been offered a fare wage since Kerber made it on the pro tour. But he wants millions of dollars

$15M is just way too much unless Kerber signed a document back then that she is gonna give him all his prize money

Does this mean Kerber's side did not even show up in court? I guess they are pretty sure the case will be dismissed?

Kerber was 18 y.o in 2006 so not Osaka 2.0 but probably without merit too
It's totally without merit: Kerber was not a "child prodigy" but a scrub for quite some time (until sharply rising in the middle of her 20s... long after she already got on the pro tour and been years under another coach).

In other words, this early coach has no moral claim to sue, even apart from whatever the legalities of the situation are. If Kerber has money to waste she should give it to Andrea Petkovic, who has more to do with Kerber's rising than this mooch.

I guess lawyers are also human creatures (unbelievable, right!) and need to put food on the table.
This old person probably thought of this one day, asked a lawyer and decided the worst can happen is to squeeze the lawyers fee out of Angie.
