she is in the singles and doubles SF with Serena Zhang and all SF and FINALS are scheduled for tomorrow :help:

and adding to the fact that she played singles Q here she may set a new record for most matches played at a MM tournament :sobbing:

Mel might have to play 3 set of QF and if she wins that then full semi and full final if she wins the semi. So the morale of the story is, get indoor facilities for Birmingham
they do have indoor facilities :p
but its an outdoor event on grass

JJ/Doi have 3 possible full singles matches tmrw

I'm not sure if these rules still apply (from when Sugiyama was in the same situation in '03 at Scottsdale):

"Sugiyama, a 27-year-old Japanese player ranked 25th in the world, played a total of 10 sets Sunday. She could have elected to play the doubles final on Monday, since WTA rules don't require players to participate in more than three matches in one day."

Miss Sugiyama could do it, so could Zheng if she wins all of those matches!

Whats the point of an Outdoor Grass Tournament where you play Indoor Hard?

I would not focused on the doubles and go straight to the singles matches.
I would not be your partner then.
