Sorry, I hate to disagree, but she wasn't. When she was emailing that person in the armed forces as part of the ESPN Jocks to GIs thing, she said she was born in Long Island, because the woman she was conversing with was also born there, so they mentioned some places.

It was sort of cute at the time, but I really didn't like it much. Jennifer Capriati is about as much like Jennifer Lopez as Monica Seles is to Monica Lewinsky. Sorry, but that's the truth. J.Lo is largely famous for appearing semi-nude, and flashing her ass around with a lot of PR. Well, we all know what Monica Lewinsky is famous for. At least our Jennifer and our Monica became famous for actually doing something besides flashing their bodies, taking their clothes off, and giving blow jobs. There's nothing wrong with having great blow job skills, I am not one to talk, but giving a great blow job doesn't make me a Jennifer Capriati or a Monica Seles, it never will.
