Damian Dash - a legendary hip hop producer - has confirmed that both he and megastar rapper Jay-Z will be working on tracks for either VB's new album or for the commericals for Rocawear - which would be then released as a single stateside!!!!


Damian Dash also said "Weve had our eye on her for a while now; she's well known from the Spice Girls but every one knows she was always the classy and sexy one" ..... "from fashion to music - she's amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Victoria Beckham is to become the worldwide face of rapper Jay-Z’s bling bling fashion range.
I can reveal Posh is going “street” by modelling for Rocawear, the biggest hip-hop clothing range in America, in a £1million campaign.
She is in the States preparing for her first photoshoot for the label.
The move will help Victoria become a household name in the US. Her image will even be plastered on billboards in New York’s Time Square.
The former Spice Girl was asked to star in the ads after meeting legendary rap producer Damon Dash and Jay-Z at a party.
The offer came after the three talked about working on tracks for Victoria’s new album.
The new look of baggy tops, trainers and tracksuits bottoms will be a dramatic fashion departure for Posh.
She is more used to glamorous frocks from Italian design house Dolce & Gabbana.
A source close to the singer told me: “Victoria is keen to distance herself from her Spice Girl days and build a credible reputation for music.
“She met Damon when she was last in New York. She was delighted when he asked her to be the new face of their clothing range. Victoria is in New York now preparing for a shoot and she will launch the campaign in both America and Britain in the summer.
“They have already done a two-day photographic session with Naomi Campbell and other artists signed to Jay Z’s Roc-A-Fella record label.
“Victoria is tempted to move into more of an R&B direction with her music after hanging out with Damon and Jay-Z.
“So far the stuff she’s recorded with her new label Telstar has been very pop and dance oriented but she’s keen to go a bit more street. Maybe her hubby David has had something to do with it — he’s a big rap fan.”
I told you last month that Victoria’s first single is likely to be a track called Open Your Eyes, one of dozens of songs she has ready for an album.
Damon said of Victoria’s new clothing deal: “She’s beautiful. Victoria embodies everything Rocawear is on an international level, from fashion to music, she is incredible.”
Victoria will share equal billing on the campaign with Naomi Campbell, once her enemy but now a pal.
Posh will be hoping her new role will work as well as it did in Japan.
There she and Becks modelled for Japanese make-up giant The Tokyo Beauty Centre in a £2million campaign.
It was a big success for the firm and helped sell loads more copies of Victoria’s debut album.

AT the rate she's going the only place left for Victoria Beckham to conquer will be the moon.

Continuing her assault on the US, Posh has been signed up as the face of America's top-selling urban streetwear company Roc-A-Wear.

The range, a spin-off from Roc-A-Fella records run by Jay-Z and Damon Dash, had an £80million turnover in its first year of business in 1999.

And as a result, the 29-year-old will have her mug plastered all over billboards in America, including the world-famous one in Times Square, New York.

"She's a brilliant coup for us," says a company source. "Victoria made her name in the Spice Girls where she was always the classy one.

"And now that she's a wife and a mother, she effortlessly combines casual and posh, which is exactly what we were looking for."

Victoria's former enemy and new bezzie mate Naomi Campbell modelled for Roc-A-Wear's last campaign and rumour has it the two will appear in a few shots together. "Jay-Z and Damon have had their eye on Victoria for a while," whispers one insider. "They met at the Vogue party a few weeks ago and were initially discussing doing a few songs together.

"But they got on so well they asked her to front the autumn campaign as well as doing something musically. They were delighted when she said yes to both.

"Both camps are currently discussing the possibility of a track, either for the campaign or for an album."

Victoria flew to the States for final talks with Jay-Z and Damon earlier this week.

A source close to the star admitted: "Victoria's going to be spending some time in the recording studio but she's got a lot of other things lined up."

Victoria and husband David Beckham did a joint interview on American TV last month as part of her bid to crack the lucrative market.

Being the face of Roc-A-Wear's global campaign will help Victoria reach out to young hip-hop fans.

And when it is launched in Europe and the UK later this year, the company hopes sales will go through the roof just like they did at Marks & Spencer when Becks fronted a boys' casual range.

Although Victoria isn't designing any of the clothes, it's no doubt something she'll turn her hand to later.

I suppose now those of us in the US finally get to see what's the big deal about the Beckhams.
