Congrats to Japan and Indonesia. It would be nice if at least one of them got through to the World Group for 2004.

I'm surprised Japan slipped this far. Not too long ago, they had a slew of top players. Perhaps Ai can spark a resurgence.

And speaking of resurgences, this has to be the best Indonesian tandem since the Basuki/Tedjakasuma teams.

I really hope people start to pay more attention to tennis in China. Especially after last year's fantastic Master Cup in Shanghai

How come the Thai team didnt get through? I thought they won most of theit ties except lost to Japan?
Unfortunately ;)

Thailand didn't win all of their ties, Thailand got beaten by Taipei 1-2!

Here are the tally of GROUP IB

1. Indonesia 4-1 (14)
2. Thailand 4-1 (12)
3. Taipei
4. Uzbekistan
