Re: JA Roland Garros Junior Championships, France

She needs to rise her level, her last results weren't that good.

The truth is in a GS you could face great opponents for round one, it's very difficult to know he is going to shine on these tournaments.
Maybe it's time for Marta Custic to show her real potential
Well...
Custic was destroyed by Leylah and Anne destroyed overhyped Noel.

As I said days ago, Anne can surprise everybody here.
If she stays focused the semis are not impossible.

Re: JA Roland Garros Junior Championships, France

The probabilities for a Final with Fernandez and Snigur are pretty high.

One interesting thing about Fernandez, is that she hasn't had a single injury in 7 years. Not even needing a single MTO or tape on an arm or a leg. That is amazing, considering she's played lots of pro ITF since April 2017.

Thank you. Yes I have been injured when I was much younger, 9 or 10 years old maybe, but my dad helped me recuperate. @tennisdadcoach has been responsible for my fitness program in it's entirety. You can ask him his secrets, he usually has a lot to say lol. I can tell you this: He always told me the #1 and #2 most important tools to play sports at any level is your brain and your body, not the strings nor the racquet to keep healthy. My #1 objective for this year was to finish the year healthy. So far so good.

Re: JA Roland Garros Junior Championships, France

The bottom half is falling apart now.
Parry, Noel, Fruhvirtova, Schneider lost.
Anyone can reach the final now.

I agree. Noel seems overranked from what I have seen from her.
Frayman and Kostenko seem not that talented or they are slumping.
Mandlik's clear loss in R1 was shocking although Cisovska is a good player.
Hurricane (stupid name ) also seems overranked like Noel.

Elina Avanesyan is beautiful :hearts:
I guess she has Armenian roots. Will she play for Armenia ?

I saw some matches and was impressed by Diana and Montgomery (both powerful lefties with good groundstrokes). They are young and just need more time and experience. They have potential and I expect big things from them in the future.

I liked what I saw from Tkacheva vs Fernandez in R1.
Hennemann looked better than Delai. Weird that Hennemann lost in Quali ...
Pachkaleva reminds me of Rodina. Also good groundstrokes, but a weak serve and not fit.

Yes, I think the final will be Fernandez/Osorio vs maybe Navarro/Snigur ?

WOW.... that's one I haven't heard before. I've never heard a peep about her having any sort of pro potential. She has success in juniors, because a lot of the good juniors try and play pro events. But either way, Noel has a left wrist injury she sustained in a fall a few weeks back, and had it in a splint. She had to slice her BH all tournament last week, in winning the Grade A Milan. So no surprise she lost early here...

I'm not the only one who thinks Noel is overranked or overrated.
Read the post before yours.
Anyway I hope she recovers from the injury soon :wink2:

You said OVERHYPED.... which as we all know is different than overranked. She is overranked, like I said, because a lot of the top junior players are playing pros.

What a pity... Wilda was clearly tired from the match against Anne.
But amazing RG for her.
