When I was checking this thread 2 days ago, the Draw on post 1 has not been published that's why I didn't send my pts until I saw the draw, and now it started!

Singles Quarterfinals

Boglárka Komlós HUN d. Jin-joo Cho KOR [1] 16 76(4) 61

Down goes Cho. Jin-joo looked to be on her way to another easy win, but Boglárka just wouldn't go away in the second. The Hungarian was able to flip the match on it's head and capture the tiebreak. Cho had nothing left in the tank and Komlós quickly put her away to move onto the semifinals.

Žanna Ozollapa LAT d. Misty Naranja PHI 75 75

Both players played a great match but it was the Latvian that played better when it counted. The only two breaks of serve in the match unluckily fell on the racket of Naranja. Ozollapa played a solid match from start to finish and never faced a break point. She gets a SF date with Komlós.

Naomi Elliot NOR d. Samantha Smith USA [4] 36 63 76(2)

Naomi avenges her loss to Sam last week. It was anybody's match today. Unforced errors from Smith proved to be fatal. Elliot's serve also continued to impress. She had 15 (!) aces today.

Maria Ptáčníková CZE [2] d. Gisela Lopez-Peña ARG 75 75

Maria just keeps winning. She struggled to adapt to Gisela's game early, but found her rhythm when it mattered. The second set hinged on who would get broken first. Ptáčníková pounced on her first break point opportunity and sealed the win. Tomorrow's match against Elliot should be a doozy.

Doubles Quarterfinals

Samantha Smith/Ya-ling Wu USA/TPE [1] vs Naomi Elliot/Elsa Leclerc NOR/MON 36 75 75

Naomi and Elsa got off to a hot start. A quick first set gave way to two long sets. Smith and Wu raised their levels and the match was decided on just a few points. Elliot and Leclerc faded towards the end. Samantha avenges her singles loss to Naomi.

Annika Svindal/Milena Živković DEN/SRB vs Amina Bulova/Eitak Naws RUS/INA 57 76(5) 75

What a match this was! Both teams were playing at extremely high levels. Bulova and Naws let 5 break points, and two match points, go to waste in the second. Still the third was played so closely. The match lasted 2 hours and 59 minutes. Annika and Milena live to fight another day.

Heidi Ivakhenko/Žanna Ozollapa INA/LAT vs Gisela Lopez-Peña/Misty Naranja ARG/PHI 76(0) 63

A hot start for the champions from last week. Ivakhenko and Ozollapa pick up where they left off in Santa Croce. Lopez-Peña and Naranja had their chances early but their opponents were just too good. Heidi and Žanna's chemistry is impressive.

Jin-joo Cho/Zhenzhen Xiang KOR/CHN d. Boglárka Komlós/Maria Ptáčníková HUN/CZE [2] 63 26 76(1)

Jin-joo and Zhenzhen, finalists last week, defeat the number 2 seeds who looked out of sorts at moments during the match. Cho and Xiang have a chance to avenge their defeat in the SF against the even hotter, Ivankhenko/Ozollapa.

If Ptacnikova makes the final at least, she will be the new live No1, and Cho has a chance to overtake her if she wins the doubles title, but if Maria wins singles, she will be the new No1 regardless! :D
