I hate to say I told you so, but I called it perfectly. Rybakina really exposed Iga's weak serve and gave it the treatment that it deserves. I would say that I hope the rest of the WTA tour was watching, but this is not the first time that someone has shown how to take Iga's game away completely. Rybakina, Collins, and Ostapenko all have her number. Elite returners with decent serves will always be capable of beating Iga easily until she does something about that serve.Iga is in real danger here. So far, Iga has had the luxury of nobody really punishing her less than stellar serve. Rybakina has the sheer firepower to do it. We all know that the only way to really trouble Iga is to rush her on the forehand side. Iga's extreme grip means she needs time to produce that stroke in a way that stings. If Rybakina plays well, she could easily take this in straight sets.
