I tried to make it a little hard for all the tennis buffs out there :) , but I understand that some questions are rather easy...

1 - As a child, this tennis star and multiple Slam winner called her racquet her best friend and took it everywhere she went. It even accompanied her to every meal. Who is she?

2 - Who was the first athlete in any sport to earn more than $100,000 in a single season (1971)?

3 - Who was the youngest player — male or female — to win a U.S. Open singles match?

4 - The only female player to achieve a Grand Slam in both singles and doubles is ...?

5 - You are playing a singles match on a particularly windy day. The wind catches your hat and it flies off, landing on the court. Both you and your opponent ignore it, but incredibly the ball lands on the hat. What should happen next according to the official rules of the game?
A: A let is played
B: You are defaulted a point for foolishly wearing a hat on such a windy day
C: Play continues as both players have accepted the hat as part of the court

6 - What professional female tennis player held the #1 ranking the longest?

7 - Which great female champion had her childhood house bombed in the war and was famous for sipping brandy during her matches?

8 - Before the phenomenon Kournikova, this sexy but unknown tennis player decided to bare it all for Playboy magazine in a controversial picture issue. Who is she?

9 - Can you name the following tennis greats?
A -
B -
C -

10 - This former Grand Slam champion was renowned for her incredible powers of concentration. During a match at a junior tournament one day, she repeatedly ran into a chair which had inadvertently been left near the back line. After the match she was asked why she hadn't moved the chair back against the fence. Her reply? "What chair?"
Who is she?

Isn't 5 B?!?!

I would think that if you ignored it and it was your hat you would lose the point. Isn't it just kinda like if you let a ball sit in the middle of the court and a ball during play hits it, you lose the point for neglecting the ball.
