I always wonders why are there no doubles in those tourneys? They should be like in singles, they could give great points to move up a bit in the rankings...cause you can be good in doubles and bad in singles...but not in this game since you need to have a good rank to be in the tourneys where there are doubles...

I always wonders why are there no doubles in those tourneys? In my opinion,there is absolutely nothing to win in a 50K:35 points at best(+ bonus) when we can win more than 195 points in Shangai
Yes,there are less rounds, but also less bonus points.
Look at the points of top players and you will see that 35 points are really nothing.
Better to try the qualies of the best tournaments:there almost never more than 1 or 2 rounds(only 1 in Shangai this week)

And I have to add that a GS finalist (who has beaten so great opponents ) should never play here

But I ahve to say that the Grand Slma finalist i still ranked 63 in the comittment list and that list needed to be done before The Us Open even ended...Who knew I would get that far?
