Bogdan #121 overpowered Snigur #328.
Snigur tried to match Bogdan power for power, but was overmatched, with no plan B.
Snigur jumped up 91 positions to #237 by getting into the finals.
In November Bogdan got to the semis at Nantes France. Two good ITF tournaments in a row for 27 y/o Bogdan.
Bogdan up to ranking #105. 9W to 1L in her last 10 matches.
On to Limoges with Bogdan, Kanepi, Giorgi, Cornet, Garcia and a multitude of others. Starts Monday.

Congrats, Ana Bogdan! :yeah:

Glad that she showed her big talent once again. Her game reminds me a bit of Szavay.
Insane that talented Ana is outside of Top 100. She should be Top 70 at least. Underranked.

A strong tournament for 17 yo Daria, reaching this 100+H Dubai final. As a Qualifier too.
Especially her win in SF over #1 seed, Top 40 player and former #10 Mladenovic was impressive.

Snigur has very strong, consistent, impressive, powerful, clean and flat groundstrokes :)
The big problem is her very weak and vulnerable serve (especially will be on the WTA Tour).
Also good tactical awareness and anticipation, but she must improve her poor athleticism.
She must dictate every point. Otherwise her poor footwork and defense get exposed - as Ana did.

Ana simply had more experience in the final, played better and Daria is a good match-up for her.
A big age difference. Ana is 10 years older. Daria Snigur is born 2002 and Ana Bogdan 1992.

Snigur is basically the new Pironkova. Effortless backhand, awful forehand, and boring serve. Main difference is Pironkova could get a little more speed on the serve. Otherwise they are the same player.

Snigur has fantastic prospects. She was tired in final and that's it.
Her serve btw is not weak at all, when in is strong and difficult to read.
Hope to see her soon on WTA level, do not see her having troubles to gain more rankings up.
