OK, she's not a tennis player but she is Russian. Haven't heard anything from her this year yet. Does anybody know whether she intends on being in Paris or not or what the current story with her is? Nobody on the IAAF forums has a clue. Cheers.

the last I heard she was planning to run 800m in Athens and was not planning to run in any competition until 2004. I hope she is still planning it. Love that woman.

She plans to run 800 this year, definitly 400 and, least likely, 200.
I was surprised to find out that she has two kids already, son Alexey -15 years and daughter Masha 1.5 year. Iron woman, really.

Irina is not in Russian team heading to Paris...

I guess, if she runs anywhere this year, it will be a small tournament or in Moscow in September...

btw, rumours are that Marion Jones will compete for the first time in Moscow (after delivering a son)
