Interview with Alex:
Q: Congratulations Alex, on your first time ever seeding and first time ever getting a bye in any tournament.
A: Thanks, but its not that big of an accomplishment when Azza's seeded right behind you.
Q: True :lol:
A: Yep, so you wanted to ask me questions?
Q: Sorry, yes I do. Anyways here I go: you start off with a bye and you will now face Andre in the QF's, what do you think your chances are?
A: Well what can I say, Andre's pretty good. But I think I have a good chance against him. Last time we played I think I won 7-6(4), 6-4, it was tough but I was playing a little slow so I think I should have a good chance.
Q: Some reporters, like me, think you are just a bunch of hype. Do you really believe you have a chance at winning a title, let alone an ITF title, let alone a match?
A: Well you know, you are entitled to your opinion and thats okay. All you are going to hear from me is a biased question because you can't come on this tour not believing that you won't win anything. If you do that you won't win one single thing. AND YES I do believe I can win matches and YES I believe I can win titles.
Q: If you were to beat Andre you would either face Steven or Scotso, do you think you'll have a chance against them?
A: Well I don't really know, I've never played Steven nor Scotso so I just don't know. I have heard that Steven and Scotso are both retrievers, they fight for everything and never go down without a fight. So it should be hard.
Q: If you get to the final who do you think you will face on the other side of the draw?
A: Hey, I'm just going to take it one match at a time, besides I have to beat Andre to get anywhere. It honestly won't matter to me until I actually get the final, and I have a long road ahead of me, but hey, it should be fun.
Q: This draw seems really easy, do you think that some top players should be allowed to enter ITF just because they are higher ranked?
A: You don't see me complaining, do you?
, no I think ITF should stick to the way it works, because right now I don't have any objections about the way it works.
Q: Anabel is the newly crowned No. 1, do you feel that she shouldn't be there?
A: I thought this interview was about me? :lol: No, I think that Anabel does deserve it, its not like she was just handed 6969 points. Some people say Leena is the best player, well Anabel just recently beat Leena so really people are just full of it sometimes. But I really can't comment because I haven't been here that long, who knows if she doesn't deserve it or not? But right now Anabel is #1, and people are going to be looking to beat her, especially me.
Q: How have you prepared for this tournament? Exhibitions, training, etc.?
A: I have played a lot of exhibitions. But although I can't say I've won any of them, but they have helped me a lot. Hopefully this experience will help me a long the way in the future.

Q: Any predicitions on the Tour Championships?
A: Thats a pretty crummy question to end off with But I think it will be Leena who will take this, or at least hopefully she will.
