Instagram Followers of WTA Top 100 & Most Followed...

It's quite impressive that Emma is already at #2 with nearly 2.5m followers, second only to Osaka at ~2.8m. And she's only 19, Osaka has 5 years and 3 more slams on her. If she has a deep run at this USO I think she could surpass Osaka. Nice to see them both surpassing all former players except...

I was curious to know which players were most followed by her peers in light of the Kasatkina news especially,
so I decided to make one of my IG accounts follow only the top 100 players of the WTA, this would show me how many fellow top 100 players a player is followed by.
Also I rounded down the followers so if someone has 59.6k I wrote 59k, all data correct as of July 19th 2022.
Took the most recent ranking of July 18th 2022 for the top 100.
Little surprised by the #1 most peer-followed and also the margin to #2.

Nice to see them both surpassing all former players except Serena (15.1m) and Sharapova (4.4m). Emma has surpassed Genie Bouchard (2.3m), Anna Kournikova(1.8m), Venus Williams (1.7m) and Ana Ivanovic (1.5m).

My biggest surprise is Leylah Fernandez. She seemed so popular at the USO, but only has 336k followers. I wonder how many more she would've gotten if she had won and Emma had lost. Something tells me the result would still be the same.
