Pffft Jarka should have won after that second set.

Which injury does Peer have ? :(
O.K in an update from an Israeli site , Peer walked out of the courts on crutches because she has an inflammation in her ankle.

I think she's gonna retire from the semi-finals.

I hope she retires from Madrid also.

Doesn't look good then . Too bad she might have to skip Madrid. Is she playing another tournament before RG?

She had an inflammation in the chest in U.S open 07 and she played through the injury by doing a lot of massages on the infected area and eventually she made the quarter finals, so we'll see what she'll do.

and to your question- no she is scheduled to only play Madrid before RG.

From Estoril Open site:

Wickmayer will next challenge seventh-seeded Israeli Shahar Peer, who is receiving treatment after each match this week for a foot injury. World No. 54 Peer knocked out Slovakian Jarmilia Groth – conqueror of top seed Benesova – 6-2, 0-6, 6-3 in one hour and 44 minutes. Peer improved to 15-8 on the season.

Stop playing through injury Shahar, just retire and save yourself for the FO
but great fighting spirit once again :bigclap:
