Big LOL to the posters that are still so bitter about any Emma win. Some don't even mention Emma in their comments, obviously too painful for them 😂

Emma came into this tournament with no matches since the AO, recovering from tonsilitis, which she said was the worst she's ever felt. Then her wrist issues flared up and she got ill again on the day of her R1 match and nearly pulled out. Now she's in R4 after beating the world #13. Not bad at all.

I don't think she'll get past Iga on the slower centre court, but that match is just a bonus considering what Emma's been through this year. It will be a nice warm-up for future encounters with the #1.

Anyone who uses their brain can see that the USO '21 Emma is back, she might not be winning tournaments yet but just wait and see....

I’m really pleased for Emma to have a nice little run like this. Very encouraging and good to see her play aggressive, fearless tennis. The courts and conditions suit her game.
I‘m a fan, but tbh Kovinic was dire and Linette lost her range totally. Siniakova should have beaten BHM in the previous round, but Bia is a battler. That Emma was able to put her away was admirable

Just hope she doesn’t get too badly mauled by Iga!

Oh have a seat. Mugs has 2x slams, 4 finals, won YEC and been ranked number 1. She’s earned her right to a couple of shit show seasons w/o being dragged in random Raducanu threads.

For someone who sometimes appears to know their stuff, you can be so cringe worthy sometimes.

Honestly, if James Von C**t could shut his mouth for 5 mins there would be significantly less vitriol for Emma around here.

He’s an embarrassment, he just makes life difficult for the rest of us that get tarred with the same brush.

Casper Ruud said the balls were really light during the tiebreak tens. I think the balls fly a bit more than normal and the courts are slow.

If im not mistaken they are Penn Tour Regular Duty. It’s a very lightweight ball.
