No, Little Miss Fluke Slam's fans are especially annoying. They are the ones who exaggerate her wins and try to trash legends of the sport to boost their fluky fave. I remember when LMFS beat an out-of-form Serena and awful Azarenka at Cincinnati in 2022 (and then lost the second she faced a top 10 player), people were attempting to trash those legends. Meanwhile both Serena and Vika actually won matches at the 2022 US Open, while the defending champion got bounced out in the very first round.
I think you have come up with a solution for yourself and all the other glass half empty naysayers/needlers/trolls - if you don't actually enjoy watching a quality and entertaining match like that (and I realise many of the trolls didn't actually watch the match, just looked at somebody else's analysis and/or stats) then yes it would make sense to pick a different sport to follow. How low the tour has stooped for a slam winner passing R3 to be impressive 😭 I think it’s time I abandon the WTA as a whole
They can’t even be spoken of in the same sentence 😭 old man with a bionic hip and multiple slams etcI mean, on the ATP Murray can never get passed R3 yet apparently he's an inspiration lol.
I have watched women’s tennis for almost 2 decades. It’s a pathetic decline. I can see you’re British too, so delusional in your support. That’s fine.I think you have come up with a solution for yourself and all the other glass half empty naysayers/needlers/trolls - if you don't actually enjoy watching a quality and entertaining match like that (and I realise many of the trolls didn't actually watch the match, just looked at somebody else's analysis and/or stats) then yes it would make sense to pick a different sport to follow.
Isn't that a union flag next to your name?I have watched women’s tennis for almost 2 decades. It’s a pathetic decline. I can see you’re British too, so delusional in your support. That’s fine.
With her draw I’d certainly hope a slam champion could achieve this incredible feat.
Raducanu made it past R3 of a masters, something Murray hasn't done since 2016 lol. 😭They can’t even be spoken of in the same sentence 😭 old man with a bionic hip and multiple slams etc
Light balls?? I thought that some players were complaining about the heaviness of the balls? Did I get that wrong? I don’t think these are US open regular duty balls or anything like that.Well done Emma ! I didn't expect her to beat Linette or BHM to be honest but I was proven wrong. I think the light balls help her game in IW.
The real test is against Swiatek.
No, these are Penn Regulary Duty, iirc. I think extra duty balls are usually preferred for HC as they are easier to control. For clay it's regular duty. No idea about grass.Light balls?? @Tamisz is right, Rybakina and Tsurenko commented about the heavy balls at IW. Rybakina was asked why she had tape on her shoulders and she said "just helps a bit for my muscles, because here it's not easy conditions really. Slow courts, heavy balls." I also heard a player (can't remember who it was) say the Penn balls were poor quality and fluffed up too easily. No, these are Penn Regulary Duty, iirc. How can someone named after MUGS say anything critical. How is she doing, is she pregnant. She dropped out of top 100 no ?They can’t even be spoken of in the same sentence 😭 old man with a bionic hip and multiple slams etc
Regular duty balls fluff up fast, that's their characteristic. They are referred to as "light balls". Extra duty have thicker felt and fluff up less, i.e. they are easier to control for players that like to use a lot of power or spin. When a ball fluffs up, more effort is needed to exert control while still maintaining power. That in itself is not a problem, if used on courts that don't slow the balls upon contact, but as IW is doing exactly that, this troubles players that prefer faster conditions. The extra effort spent on controlling the ball can put a strain on certain body parts they don't generally worry about in a match.@Tamisz is right, Rybakina and Tsurenko commented about the heavy balls at IW. Balls are quite heavy in IW, I posted a video on it about some guy weighing them, but its the felt that makes IW balls feel heavy when hitting them due to fliuff and the IW sandpaper surface. Difference in weight is marginal.Well done Emma ! I didn't expect her to beat Linette or BHM to be honest but I was proven wrong. I think the light balls help her game in IW.

You doing ok?Give her a serious player who is in-form in the first round, and Little Miss Fluke Slam will be on a plane back to Heathrow airport faster than you can say King Charles III.
Hurt about the fact that Little Miss Fluke Slam had a weak draw and hasn't faced any player of note yet? Not quite. Raducanu hasn't won anything yet this year. Wouldn't it be wise to save your gloating until she lifts a title of any kind? 🥴
I remember that thread too, and I remember making an obvious joke about Emma handing out free bagels to mothers (or something along those lines) and you absolutely losing your shit about it, so forgive me for questioning your grasp on reality 🫣No, Little Miss Fluke Slam's fans are especially annoying.
