I don't think this time last week anyone expected Emma to reach R4, but here we are! We'll forget the second set ever happened, but that was one of Emma's finest performances since the 2021 USO.

That being said...I think 99% of us know what's coming in R4...😬

Great match. Emma plays such beautiful, sublime tennis when she's on. She's great for the game and I really hope she can get her fitness issues sorted this year.

Too bad she had to run into a roadblock in the next round. Would've been really nice to see her going on a tear here, so unexpectedly.

I am not sure why people are acting like this is some grand achievement. BHM has not been playing good tennis all year. Little Miss Fluke Slam is just lucky that she has had a soft draw and hasn't had to face any in-form players. Her luck will run out in the next round thought. Swiatek is about to smack Little Miss Fluke Slam off the court and she'll be on the first flight out of the Californian desert to Heathrow airport.

Why would she go to Heathrow when she is gonna be playing in Miami? If you're gonna troll, at least TRY to look intelligent, as hard as that is for you.

It was as clear as day that once she gets an easy draw and makes a decent run (by her current low standarts of course, not by Iga Swiatek's standarts) everybody's gonna start praising her again act like she's made a great achivement. Later on the next day when she loses in the next round, everybody will say that she got tired and her oppoent played well, or she got injured and thus couldn't perform well but fought like a lion, and still praise her because of the 63 75-like score. I tell you, some folks will be hyped up about this win for years!

I'm not Emma's hater though, I find her pretty attractive and I like her attitude on the court. I just don't like too much hype.

lol after a year of injuries, coach changes, uncertainty etc, we're not celebrating cos we think it's the greatest win ever, we're just fucking happy and proud of Emma. That's all.

The best match she has played since USO was against Kostyuk in Madrid imo...that was almost a flawless match from her. She played well here but had some dips during the match

Whilst true, BHM is a 10x better player than Kostyuk and this is easily a bigger, and more meaningful win
