Yay she won against a high ranked opponent, and by playing great tennis! Love the fight she displayed today.
The third set especially she could easily have lost the plot after failing to break, but she managed to hold her nerve by playing positive and aggressive tennis. Unfortunately Iga is (likely) next, but at least she won't have any pressure going into that match. Whatever happens, it is still a great run for Emma, and you could see how much it meant to her in her reaction.

As for BHM, she is a fighter. After getting tossed aside in the first set, she dug in and raised her level. I totally thought she would grind out the match in 3 - she did come close!

Caught the third set and wow, Emma was channeling US Open 2021. Deep and accurate laser-like groundstrokes, taking every ball on the rise, high first serve percentage and great feel on her volleys. Really positive stuff from her.
