Justine is playing very very very well at the moment! She serves ok, comes to the net often, attacks 2th serves from Talaja, volley are SUPER, drops are working, ...

Just great :D

it's now 6-1 4-1* (20 min for set 1) and she has already 20 winners and only 9 UE's :D
The crowd is amusing themselves .. even say 'oooooooooh' when Justine misses a ball

ENDED: 6-1 6-2 in 53 min. 26 winners!, 14 UE's, 3 aces, 3 DF, fastest serve 109 mph :D

Go Justine :D :worship:

sorry if you don't like this thread but I'm just happy fan :p

Funny how Silvija becomes a rather ordinary player when her much higher ranked opponent isn't a Person with Problems.

fleemke'! Thanks so much for describing how Justine played! We did not get to see a single point in the US. I'm so happy to learn about her aggressive play today. :hearts:

What happened to Serena in the 1st round of the AO? 3-6 7-6 7-5 against Loit and against Callens it was 6-4 6-0  First rounds can get slumpy, even for the later champion. As long as they survive.

Justine played awesome tennis. Aggresive returns and (serve &) volleywork. Serve could have been more consistant, but the rest was GREAT! :bounce:

Same score Nadya used to Dispatch Denisa (a pretty tough player, IMO) yesterday. So they're both in gear, and probably wanted off those (hot weather) courts ASAP.

The crowd was not pro-Justine. They were pro-winners or forced-errors ;)

OMG at Justine's volleys! Just great today!!! And that sweet backhand was very much functioning today. :hearts:
But I think Silvija also knows how to play, she should be ranked higher IMO.

Yeeez Man....you didn't miss anything.....even my grandma plays better then Talaja.
The public didn't have nobody to root for.
8 winners in the whole match and the second slowest second serve after Aniko Kapros.
Atleast here Break Point Conversion was 100%

1st Serve % 27 of 53 = 51 %
Unforced Errors 16
Winners (Including Service) 8
Break Point Conversions 1 of 1 = 100 %
Average 2nd Serve Speed 76 MPH

Match Summary Justine

1st Serve %: same as Talaja......14 Unforced Errors and 26 Winners (Including Service).

1st Serve % 19 of 37 = 51 %
Unforced Errors 14
Winners (Including Service) 26

Saori Obata (ranking 75) in 3th round for Justine.

Saori Obata never played a 3th round GS match since pro in 1998.
