We Poles criticize companies that have not withdrawn from the Russian market. Ending this contract is a good decision. Iga knew that many Poles did not like this.
Considering that most big companies didn't leave Russian market, she will have trouble getting big sponsors, if she just did everything to make people happy.

Iga just did a photoshoot with Xiaomi. Would she really have done that if Xiaomi was a known supporter of Russia's Ukraine invasion?
I didn't see anything weird in that, according to article cooperation end 31th March, so photoshoots are probably in her contract, she can't say "no" without consequences, that would be unprofessional and unfair for company.

Perhaps it is Iga that feels unhappy with this contract? Iga is so vocal about supporting Ukraine, I would not be surprised if she did not want to work with companies that support Russia. She has already shown that she is capable to pursue something that she feels good about overall rather than mere money when she declined Nike's offer. Now, as she has more money, she can afford to be picky.

It's not like that. She signed a deal at the end of February 2021 and it was never said, for how long was the contract. Now we know that it was for 2 years. It's simple as that.

Sure. But she could choose not to prolong it.

We reached out to Iga Swiatek's team to ask whether she was aware of Xiaomi's return to the Russian market and whether she accepted this state of affairs.

"Iga Swiatek has so far worked with the Polish branch of Xiaomi, promoting the brand's products exclusively in Poland. She is known for her extensive support for Ukraine and concrete aid activities, as well as her clear personal stance against the war. The details of the cooperation with Xiaomi Poland are covered by confidentiality, but the cooperation ends on 31 March this year," - informed Wyborcza.biz the press team of Iga Świątek.

Wyborcza is trying too hard to find something special in this. The deal is ending and Iga is not signing an extension, because they might have a bigger deal ready with someone else. Let's remember that this was Xiaomi Polska that signed her, and it was mostly about Polish market. Now all her deals are signed with worldwide marketing instead of regional, because that will give her more recognition and much more money.

Iga's press conference after the match with Liu:
Iga Swiatek Press Conference Following 2nd Round Win 2023 BNP Paribas Open - YouTube

The interesting part is the short exchange in Polish at the end of it.
Iga is asked about the termination of the contract with Xiaomi. She replies that the cooperation with Xiaomi was very successful and satisfactory, but her attitude to the war in Ukraine is known, and that was the reason for the end of this cooperation. Iga statement is very clear.

Eisenbud gave an interview to sport.pl. The article talks about why Iga dedicates limited time and energy to sponsorship deals or endorsements and what brands value in her.

If I were Iga's PR manager, I would advise her to get rid of "kind of" and "like" in her speeches. I know it's not intentional, but it muddles the message and sometimes sounds downright stupid or disrespectful in the transcript.

"She is kind of good role model", "People kind of lost their homes", etc.
