Let’s use this thread to post anything regarding Iga’s AO 2023 - social media posts, interviews, press conferences, articles, schedules, YT videos etc. Here’s a post I saw on Twitter from Iga’s practice today:

Speed is probably similar to US Open (i assume it is a little bit slower) and bounce is clearly much higher.
But weather is important too.

Balls are normal so that's good :)
Supposedly it’s going to be hot there when the tournament starts. I think Iga will handle the heat better than the rest of the players.

Iga practice sets with Keys. They are first there on livestream.
She lost this set (6:3/6:4) if I counting right 😅
If I remember correctly Alcaraz lost in a practice session he had with Djokovic 2-6 or something like that and then defeated him in the actual tournament.

Just looked at the draw for the first time, she would have to get Collins in the 4th round. 🤦‍♂️
R4 is where she’s most vulnerable, but Collins would first have to get there, second - she’d have to be in good form, which I don’t think she is right now, third - Iga would need to have a worse day. And the 4th factor - the weather and what time of the day they’d be playing, but we don’t know that yet.

They won't. They will improve what they have at Legia (and it's a nice venue). Maybe in the future they might move it to the indoor arena, when the new indoor arena at Skra will be built, but right now they will stay at Legia.
I’m wondering if there could be an indoor tournament at Torwar or at Tauron Arena.

Interview for EuroSport in Polish:

Key points:
  • Iga has drawn conclusions from her previous match with Jule and will use that knowledge and her experience next match
  • There won’t be major changes in her game, she’s working on being more solid and polishing what she’s already built
  • During practice she was working on her serve and said it was more reliable, but of course we’ll see if it translates to real matches
  • She’s not analysing the whole draw, but taking it one match at a time
  • She wrote that piece for Players’ Tribune to show children that the path to success wasn’t smooth in her case and that they shouldn’t become discouraged and give up when they come across challenges. She said social media showed only small parts of life, so she wanted to show them they weren’t alone. And it was also her way of thanking her dad for his sacrifices.
